DLU Ferry (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the DLU Ferry mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect only the minimum information necessary to provide access to the application, including:

Government-issued identity number (Nomor Identitas / NIK)
Full name
Gender
Email address
Password

Additional personal information may be requested only when required for ferry ticket booking and passenger registration, including:

Phone number
Address or regional information (Alamat / Kota / Kabupaten)

This additional information is optional at account creation and is required only when users perform ticket booking, passenger registration, or when necessary to generate passenger manifests in accordance with applicable Indonesian maritime transportation regulations.

b. Booking and Transaction Data

When users book ferry tickets, we collect booking-related information, including:

Travel schedules
Passenger details
Ticket and transaction records

This data is required to process reservations, issue tickets, and fulfill operational and regulatory obligations related to ferry transportation.

c. Device and Usage Information

We may collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, and crash or diagnostic data. This information is used solely to improve application performance, reliability, and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage user accounts
Process ferry ticket bookings and passenger registration
Generate passenger manifests when required
Complete payment transactions
Provide customer support
Improve application stability and performance
Comply with applicable legal, safety, and regulatory requirements

3. Payments

All payment transactions are processed through third-party payment service providers. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or payment credentials on our servers. Payment information is handled securely by the respective payment providers in accordance with their own privacy policies.

4. Photo Library Access

The app may request access to your photo library solely for the purpose of saving QR codes or booking-related images to your device, and only when initiated by the user. The app does not access, scan, or upload photos without explicit user action.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Personal data may be shared only with trusted third-party service providers that are necessary to operate the application, such as:

Payment service providers
Backend and infrastructure services

These parties are contractually required to protect personal data and use it only for authorized purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and to comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations, including maritime transportation and passenger manifest requirements.

7. Account Deletion

Users can delete their account directly within the application by navigating to: Account → My Profile → Delete Account Account deletion permanently removes the user account and associated personal data, except where retention is required by applicable laws or regulations.
