Our Commitment

REMARKS FROM THE PRESIDENT DIRECTOR

ERWIN H. POEDJONO, S.E
PRESIDENT DIRECTORWe are inspired by Indonesia's unique geographical conditions.
In supporting the national economy, the role of the maritime transportation industry is very important and irreplaceable, namely as a means of infrastructure, namely transportation. With Indonesia's territory having more than 17,000 islands and 60% of its territory consisting of water, ensuring the smooth distribution of goods (logistics) and services throughout Indonesia is not an easy task, both for the government and the private sector.
This inspired the company's founders to create a national shipping company that would make the public smooth in the flow of passengers, goods, and vehicles throughout the country.
This company is named "PT. Dharma Lautan Utama" with the main objective of supporting economic growth and achieving improvements in community welfare. The word "Dharma" means total devotion to the community and nation, while "Lautan Utama" reflects that the sea is the main component of our business.
Since the inception of this company, we have had a very high commitment to protecting lives, assets, and the marine environment. Because without all that, the existence of this shipping business will not provide value and benefits to the wider community.
We continuously improve the quality of our fleet and human resources in an effort to provide excellent service in the form of the availability of installed and timely loading capacity, safety and security services in accordance with the rules of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) which have been ratified by the Government of Indonesia, as well as comfort services during shipping. These services have been provided far above the Economy Class Service Standards (Beyond Economy Class) using economy rates.
In order for these excellent services to be consistent, PT Dharma Lautan Utama always improves the quality of its fleet and the quality of its human resources. The quality of the fleet is maintained by the maintenance facility in the form of the PT Adhiluhung Sarana Segara Indonesia shipyard since 2007. Improving the quality of human resources is carried out by providing systematic and continuous training to form human resources with character.
This is a brief description of our company which has strived to continuously improve services for 35 years in serving the Indonesian nation, with our motto "We Serve the Nation", and "We Serve the Nation with Heart".
As a conclusion to this speech, we hope that this company profile can provide a complete picture to stakeholders about how we view the passenger shipping industry in Indonesia and how we strive to provide the best service to customers in order to gain higher trust from the public.
Thank you for sailing with us.
